Jane HeadshotWhile studying at St. Clair County Community College, Jane Barden became especially interested in ceramics. She started her own studio fifteen years ago and now teaches pottery at Studio 1219. In her class, students will learn the basic techniques of working with clay and use these foundation skills as they advance in their work. Jane greatly enjoys interacting with her students and watching them develop their creativity. She believes that we are all creative beings and need to find that side of ourselves.

JeannineCA Port Huron native, Jeannine has been drawing most of her life. A self-proclaimed self-taught artist, Jeannine took studio classes at SC4 and the College for Creative Studies and Design in Detroit, Michigan. Jeannine works in a variety of mediums and specializes in using photo references for her art.

GINA Panoff

Gina Panoff is recently graduated a from Saginaw Valley State University with her BA in Art Education K-12. She is an energetic teacher who enjoys teaching clay, painting, drawing, collage, and watercolor. Her forte is teaching young children but enjoys teaching adult workshops as well. She loves to enrich her students about art history and the creative process of expressing themselves. She enjoys all mediums of art but her personal favorite medium is watercolor.



Classes Taught: Saturday Pottery, Scout Events, Private Parties



Jenny Walker is a true multimedia artist.  She works in everything from oils and acrylics to pen and ink.  After working the arts and crafts circuit for almost twenty years, she returned to school at St. Clair County Community College.  Later, she worked as a production and photo editor for the Erie Square Gazette and designed posters for their art department.  Like many other talented artists, Jenny’s work may be seen on the walls of Studio 1219 galleries.

Mike Henry


Mike Henry is a watermedia artist.  He began painting at the age of 43 as a hobby which quickly turned into a passion. In his desire to become a stronger painter Mike studies the Masters, past and present, takes workshops, and spends a lot of time with a brush in his hand.  Many of his paintings suggest a calm, peaceful and inviting atmosphere and are influenced by his study of light, water and reflection.  Mike really enjoys helping others achieve their potential in the area of painting.


Classes Taught: Watercolor Technique Workshops


Carly Neves is a self-taught multimedia artist living in Port Huron, who enjoys using vivid colors in all her works. She specializes in pottery and ceramics, however also enjoys painting in about every media. You can often find her in the pottery studio inspiring students or loading/unloading the kilns while sipping coffee. If you have pottery questions or want to try a new glazing technique she is the one to ask.

Katie Bartle is a potter and mixed media artist from Lakeport, Michigan.  She has been interested in art all of her life and has been working with clay for over 15 years. Katie graduated from St. Clair County Community College with degrees in Advertising and Liberal Arts.  By day, she works as a creative director at a local ad agency.  She loves sharing her passion for creating art with her students!
