Reservations: A $50 deposit is required to hold your reservation and will be applied to room rental. Our space is rented by the hour, including set up and clean up times. If you will need more time to set up and clean up, it must be included in the initial rental agreement.

Food & beverages: The Studio does not yet have commercial kitchen facilities available so all food must be catered or prepared in accordance with St Clair County Health Department rules. Permits may be required to serve alcohol. We can recommend local caterers and restaurants to suit any appetite.

Seating: We have chairs and tables to seat about 40 people. If your event requires more seating, you are welcome to bring in extras. The maximum allowable capacity of the 2nd floor is limited to 123 people; total building capacity is 184.

Room configurations: We ask that tables and chairs in the classroom be returned to their original set up after your event, as classes may be scheduled the next day. The Studio hosts a variety of exhibits during the year which may change the locations of the exhibit tables within the galleries. Please take a current walk thru when planning your event as these locations cannot be moved once the exhibit is set up.

Audio: The Studio does have a small sound system with a microphone – please let us know well in advance if you’d like it set up for your event.

Below is a view from the open air balcony - to the north you can see the downtown area to the Black River bridge, directly east you can see freighter traffic pass along the St. Clair river.

Art Parties

Studio 1219 is a great place to host your next pARTy! Create a unique piece of artwork on your special day. Our experienced art instructors will organize a fun and creative party for groups, ages 4 and up. Choose from a variety of art projects: masks, clay sculpting, collages, puppets, drawings, paintings, print making, jewelry, or pottery.
You bring the decorations, food, refreshments and paper goods, we supply the fun!
