Looking for something different in art? Studio 1219 opens its next show—“Weird Art!”—to the public with a wine and hors d’ouvres reception 6pm to 9pm Friday, May 20. Artists from as far away as Kansas have entered the unique exhibit that features two-dimensional and three-dimensional art including fantasy, science fiction, mythological, macabre, dreamscapes, bizarre, ghostly, mysterious, and anything just plain weird or “out there!”
It will be on display and on sale in the Chase and Van Gogh galleries of Studio 1219. The public is invited to attend the free opening.
“The artists have been eager to do this” said the Studio’s Executive Director, Lee-Perry Belleau. “There are some pretty crazy pieces, and many new, innovative works of art have been created just for this show.” Running from May 20 through June 26, this fun exhibit features the work of multi-media artists, sculptors, basket-weavers, photographers, painters, potters and more.
