The Firemen Are Coming! The Bras Are Here!!
Posted November 01, 2010
With over 80 brassiere-works-of-art on display at Studio 1219’s Van Gogh and Chase Galleries, area firemen are up to—and ready for—the task of modeling the winners in the Studio’s contest to raise money for its breast health awareness fund at the Community Foundation. E&A Credit Union, Woman’s Life, and Studio 1219 are proud to present Studio 1219’s Fourth Annual “The Art of Being a Woman Bra Finale!” This year’s firefighter finale – when local firefighters model the top bras—is Saturday, November 6 at 7pm
at Studio 1219, 1219 Military Street, Port Huron. Admission is a $5.00 donation to the fund.
Community business partners – and the votes for the bras – have already raised over $2,000 for the fund. Saturday’s party at the at the Studio includes music, wine and hors d’oeuvres, final voting on the brassiere art and a silent auction for the brassiere art. To add to the evening’s fun, Cutting Edge Health and Fitness trainers have thrown down the gauntlet and challenged the firefighters to raising the most money that evening. The trainers will be selling pink boas to patrons, while the firefighters will endeavor to raise funds by modeling the top bras.
