Studio 1219 Annual Gala features free art give-away and Vegas night!
Posted February 17, 2011
Studio 1219 announced its annual Black and White Gala will be 7pm till 11pm Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Studio. The theme for this year’s Gala is “An Evening inVegas,” and will feature Vegas-style gaming tables and events, as well as a silent auction, beer, wine and hors d’ouvres, and more. Once again, each patron will leave the evening with a free work of art selected from a large assortment of limited artwork – painting, jewelry, pottery and more – created by the Studio’s 100-plus artists.
Tickets for the event are $40 and available at the Studio or online. Tickets for the fundraiser are already moving quickly – due in part to the excellent free art and silent auction offerings – and are limited. The Gala will also feature the work of the Studio’s “Double Take” exhibit in the Chase and Van Gogh Galleries, which includes paintings, ceramics and pottery, mixed-media, jewelry and more as the artists interpret photos of the Studio’s photographers.
While waiting for the silent auction to close, patrons can pass their time at the gaming tables playing craps, roulette, and other fun, Vegas-style games. They will also be entertained periodically by “Elvis,” have an opportunity to have a memento picture taken in the “Wedding Chapel” or, they can dance to the fun mix of music by Vegas headliners. All in all, Studio 1219’s Annual Black and White Gala: An Evening in Vegas, promises to be a fun, full evening.
The Gala raises funds for Studio operations, such as class offerings, scholarships for students with financial needs, supplies and materials for presenting the artists in the galleries, staff salaries, building upkeep, and more. Click here for Gala silent auction items and details
