Opening reception for “Water: The Source of Life”

What does all earthly life have in common? Water – according to Studio 1219 artists Patti Yunker and Holly Pennington. They take a look at the spring of life in their art show, “Water: The Source of Life.” The exhibit begins this Friday, July 1 at Studio 1219. The opening features an opportunity for the public to meet the artists at a free wine and hors d’ouvres reception from 6pm till 9pm.
The show runs through August 14.
Both professional artists are well-known throughout eastern Michigan. Pennington is currently an instructor of art at St. Clair County Community College. Yunker works from her studio in East China and says of her work, “My inner voice says, ‘Don’t just walk by, don’t miss this, either there’s a story here or it’s time to just pause and enjoy what is around you.’”
