“Come travel the world” Art Show

Posted January 22, 2008

Come travel the world”, through the lenses of two globetrotting photographers who will be exhibiting their photos in the Van Gogh and Yoga Galleries at Studio 1219! Their breathtaking photos will be featured from February 1st through March 30th. An artists reception will be held on Saturday February 9th for Joe Campbell and the late Barry Tallent.

Joe Campbell
Working as a senior manager for a fortune 5 Information Technology Company for the past 7 years has afforded me the opportunity to see more of the world in one month then many people see in an entire lifetime.  During these travels. my goal has been to capture a bit of this world in images and distill them here.  Many of the works are rendered in Black & White to allow the viewer to step into the image and draw some of their own conclusions as if they where actually there.  While the color palate does have it’s place, the lack of [color] allows the mind to wander differently invoking thought and inspiration…

Barry Tallent
With much regret, our friend Barry passed away this October while taking more photos in Chile. However, his family has given us their blessing to display his images of the world. In a prism of brilliance, Barry has a collection of photographs that show us how colorful the world can be when captured through his lens. Barry will be missed but we can continue to enjoy his work through this very special display.
