Call To Entry:  Fire & Ice

Fire & Ice is an art education festival with children’s activities; artists demonstrating their skills in pottery, wood and glass; and clay games for all attendees including artists, local businesses and the community of art patrons. A Raku pottery yard is available for the public to purchase a bisque piece of pottery to glaze and have it fired during the festival.

Place: Port Huron, MI. at 6th and Court Street, one block west of Military, south of the Black River.

Summary of Event: Partner-Art & History Museum with Sistine Chapel painting, Partner- St. Clair County Library System with an altered book display, demo and activity. Artist Vendor, Food Vendors, Raku Yard for public firing, Arts in Action Tent of Artist Demonstrators, Clay Games for public, potters and businesses. The Blue Water Musicians Network and Oftbeat Percussion will host an instrument making area and a concert on the stage after 5 PM Saturday. ArtServe Michigan will be present to encourage the community to be an advocate for the arts and give a legislative up-date.

Festival Dates:
Saturday September 13, 10:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday September 14 11:00am – 4:00pm

Booth Fees: $75 10 x 10 foot space; $15 extra for electric
Awards: $100 Best of Show
Amenities: Studio 1219 will provide overnight security and free breakfast each morning. If you need a booth sitter please let us know.

Studio 1219 is a multi-purpose building open to the public. Space can be rented out for birthday parties, receptions, meetings, bridal showers, baby showers, and much more. Prices vary.
