Volunteer

We would love for you to be a part of Hands On Art! Four hours of your time is all we need.

Time Commitment

Shifts are divided into four hour blocks:

  • Friday 4pm-8pm
  • Saturday 9am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm
  • Sunday 10am - 2pm or 2pm - 6pm (help with clean-up)

Areas of Involvement

Set Up/Clean Up: Set-up (Friday and Saturday AM). Volunteers will help with the clean-up of the Festival starting at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday folding tables, chairs, moving equipment back to the Studio, etc.

Information/Check-in/First Aid/Facilities: Volunteers will be stationed to check in, assist other volunteers, provide directions to festival-goers, and handle emergencies.

Art Sales: Volunteers will help young collectors of various ages select and purchase original art made for young collectors, emerging artists, Studio 1219 Artist Network and volunteer artists.

Art Technology: Art technology on display with interactive gadgets available for the public to try.

Arts in Action: Demonstrations by professional artists of various mediums.

Community Art:Projects the whole community participates in making.

Education:Author/Illustrator, Art History

Entertainment:Performance artists register here. Volunteers will assist performers in set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling back stage concerns.

Pottery Arts:Volunteers will help run the activities with potters, public and business participants and hand out prizes to game winners. Volunteers will assist in the sale of bisque clay pieces, glazing of the Raku pottery and pick up of the fired Raku pottery. Also help with set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling concerns.

Hands On Activities: Volunteers will work with participants to create free "make and take" art projects. Also help with set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling concerns.

Theatre Arts: Behind the Scenes Theatre Arts, Performance Art.

Studio 1219 is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization created by a Cool Cities Grant to bring arts, community involvement and economic development together. Building Use

Studio 1219 is a multi-purpose building open to the public. Space can be rented out for birthday parties, receptions, meetings, bridal showers, baby showers, and much more. Prices vary.
