Volunteer
We would love for you to be a part of Fire & Ice 2010! Four hours of your time is all we need.
Time Commitment
Shifts are divided into four hour blocks:
- Friday 4pm-8pm
- Saturday 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm
- Sunday 10am-2pm or 2pm-6pm (help with clean-up)
Areas of Involvement
Site Layout volunteers will help mark and measure the placement of exhibitors along Court Street next to the museum on Friday, September 12 in the afternoon. Also help where needed that day.
Parking volunteers with assist in monitoring designated parking areas, work with police for ticketing as needed, and work with security for parking lot coverage.
Artist Check-in volunteers meet and greet artists to provide them with their "artist packet", check their name against the official list, check for identification, copy license plate number, and assist with any questions.
Information volunteers will be stationed at the center of the festival to assist artists, provide directions to festival-goers, and handle emergencies.
Performance volunteers will assist performers in set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling back stage concerns. This group will work with the Blue Water Musicians Network.
Clay Games volunteers will help run the activities with potters, public and business participants and hand out prizes to game winners. Also help with set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling concerns.
Raku Yard volunteers will assist in the sale of bisque clay pieces, glazing of the raku pottery and pick up of the fired Raku pottery.
Children's Activities Tent volunteers will work with families and children (pre-school through 17 years of age) to create free "make and take" art projects. Also help with set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling concerns.
Young Collectors Tent volunteers will help young collectors select and purchase original art.
Adults Advent Guard Tent volunteers will assist participants in one of four different free art activities during the festival and help with set-up and tear-down, shuttling equipment, and handling concerns.
Saturday Morning Continental Breakfast Set-up volunteers will set-up the donated bake goods from Entenmanns and beverages in the Chase Gallery at the Studio.
Clean-up volunteers will help with the clean-up of the Festival starting at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday folding tables, chairs, moving equipment back to the Studio, etc.

Studio 1219 is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization created by a Cool Cities Grant to bring arts, community involvement and economic development together. Building Use
Studio 1219 is a multi-purpose building open to the public. Space can be rented out for birthday parties, receptions, meetings, bridal showers, baby showers, and much more. Prices vary.
