The Thursday Company of Art

Studio 1219 proudly welcomes The Thursday Company of Art, Metamora Artists, formed by a group of women in 1990, who were brought together by their love of plein-aire painting. Since that humble beginning, this sharing has expanded to include the personal support and encouragement that keeps their art passionate and their productivity high. The group exhibits a full range of styles in a variety of media: pastel, watercolor, oils, graphite, colored pencil and charcoal. Some of the members have been together since the beginning, others have joined them over the years. They have all received top awards in juried shows and have also enjoyed one person solo exhibits as well. They also do commission work and teach at various art centers. Current members include: Jennie Matuja, Mary Marples, Sherri Addy, Louise Azzoli, and Janet Almstadt.
