Jeannine Capadagli
A native of Port Huron, Jeannine grew up watching her mother, Patricia, paint photographs for various studios and freehand commissions, always fascinated how oil paints can bring any subject to life. Jeannine also painted photographs for local studios for several years until direct color film made hand painted photos obsolete. Mostly self taught, Jeannine has been drawing since age four. She took Graphic Arts at SC4 and received a scholarship for one year at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. Jeannine has received awards for her talent: Honorable Mention and Second Place Medal from the Michigan Professional Photographers Association; First Place 2-Dimensional Ribbon Art Expo 2005 from Port Sanilac Fine Arts Association. In 2002 Jeannine quit her office job to make art her career. She joined Port Huron’s Creative Coalition and participated in all of their shows. Jeannine has been involved with Studio 1219 and their Artist Network since 2005. She operated her own business/studio inside the Studio for two years, then for two years at 215 Huron Ave. Jeannine is currently drawing and painting out of her home studio and remains an active member of Studio 1219.
