Jason Stier
I am an artist by choice. I thrive on nature like a breath of fresh air; I rely on technology like the two hands that guide my brush. I choose to absorb every fragment of my environment (though it be ever-changing) and reflect it upon those who care to observe my interpretation of the world in which we live. My artwork often reflects the ongoing battle between man and nature and expresses itself through a large variety of mediums.
Variety is another of my life lines. I am an art teacher at an alternative high school in St. Clair, MI. The variety of individuals, and their creations that I am exposed to help fuel my fire. I teach according to choice. Students share the responsibility in determining the path they will follow, the dirt that will muddy their hands, and ultimately how developed their aesthetic appreciation of the world around them will become. I will (hopefully) someday be remembered only by my dust-covered creations; hoping only that they help bring a smile, a laugh, a frown, a question,… a thought to the mind of he who takes the time.
Live, love, laugh,
Jason Stier
